• COME on you reds! A local musician has recorded a song to celebrate AFC Bournemouth’s promotion to the Championship. Adam Scholey and his band Sounds Like Adam, pictured, have released the song entitled Eddie’s Army (The Cherries Championship Promotion Anthem 2013) which has been backed by the club and received positive reaction from fellow Cherries fans. The track and a karaoke version of the song are available to buy through iTunes and Amazon. A video of the band performing a live acoustic version of the song at the Goldsands Stadium is available to watch at bournemouthecho.co.uk/ local_bands You can show your support for it by using the hashtag #AFCBAnthem on Facebook, YouTube or Twitter.

  • ROCKERS Sansara play the penultimate date of their UK tour in Poole next week. The four-piece have been on the road since earlier this month and have called at venues up and down the country from Liverpool to Chepstow and will headline Mr Kyps on Thursday. • THERE’S just 24 hours left to help a Christchurch indie/soul singer fund her debut EP. Shona Lowe launched her 30-day Kickstarter campaign at the end of last month to raise enough funds to record her five-track Falling EP and shoot a video for one of the tracks. The Kickstarter platform allows artists to independently take control of their projects and raise funds through donations. People can pledge and get rewards in return such as an mp3, a limited edition hard copy of the EP, your name on the sleeve or even a day in a recording studio. To donate go to kickstarter.com and search Shona Lowe.
