GET your dancing shoes at the ready as Poole Quay celebrates the best of the summer with live music and dancing throughout the night tomorrow.
Starting at 7pm, Summer Breeze’s mix of live music, entertainment and firework finale will be getting everyone in the mood to dance as Black Sheep’s infectious Celtic rock and Quayside Ceilidh put you through your paces.
After a storming performance at Folk on the Quay, popular Dorset-based Quinns Quinney return with a fresh look at songs from the skiffle era as well as a few modern tunes given that special skiffle sound.
Rockabilly trio, Rockin’ the Joint will be packing the Quay with a mix of rock ’n’ roll and doo-wop, solo singer/songwriter Karl Lattimer will be on keyboards and there’s even the chance to learn the art of belly dancing from Belly Fusion.
The free event, organised by Poole Tourism, is every Thursday evening in August, bringing a party atmosphere to Poole’s quayside before finishing with a firework finale at 10pm over one of the largest natural harbours in Europe.
For younger members of the family street magicians Okeydokey Dragon will be performing along with Jamie Jigsaw’s Circus Workshop, bouncy castle and rides.
Bruce Grant-Braham, Chairman of Poole Tourism Partnership, said: “The six weeks of Summer Breeze are the highlight of Poole’s summer events calendar.
“It’s fantastic that we can put on free events for all the family.”
