THOSE twisted firestarters The Prodigy will be heating up Christmas with a show at the BIC as part of their Warriors Dance tour.
Fresh from headlining festivals in South Africa, Malaysia, Germany and Turkey, they will arrive on December 16. Tickets will go on general sale at 10am tomorrow from the venue and are priced at £42.50.
The band first emerged from the rave scene of the early 1990s and have achieved a huge following, selling more than 25 million records worldwide.
The dance punk trio – lead by chief songwriter Liam Howlett – are known for their high octane performances and energetic front men Keith Flint and Maxim. The Essex boys first played Bournemouth back in 1992 at Madisons nightclub in Bournemouth Square, above what is now Miss Selfridge.
Since then they have graced the BIC on a handful of occasions with the last in 2011 and they have become a regular headline act on the festival circuit.
Notoriously less than prolific when it comes to musical output, The Prodigy have released just five studio albums in 23 years.
Rest assured the set list will feature incendiary dance classics such as Firestarter, Breathe, Voodoo People and Invaders Must Die.
