THE Hoosiers will bring their up-tempo brand of pop-rock to Mr Kyps in Poole tonight.
The London-based outfit hit the big time and sold a million records after the success of singles Worried About Ray and Goodnight Mr A and will be looking to turn up the feel-good factor in Parkstone.
The trio have released two albums since that 2007 success with their latest, Bumpy Ride, being released in 2011.
The Hoosiers are front man Irwin Sparkes, Alfonso Sharlando on drums and Martin Skarendahl on bass. Sharlando and Sparkes started working together first and gathered enough material together to compile an album.
They recruited Skarendahl, a Swedish ex-fireman, who was working as a recording studio engineer when they met. They became well known when Worried About Ray reached number five on the UK singles chart in July 2007.
Then Goodbye Mr A outdid its predecessor and reached number four in the UK singles chart in October of the same year.
There has been talk of a new album and the band looks to be getting busy again with smaller festivals and dates later this year.
