OOH Arrr, me hearties. Folk/punk posse Black Water County are set to drop their swashbuckling debut single next month.
Footstomper The Pirate Song will be released on September 19th, which is appropriately otherwise known as International Talk Like a Pirate Day.
The track is taken from their new six-track EP, Welcome to the Black Country , which was launched last weekend at Mr Kyps.
The Bournemouth five-piece, who formed in February, play a mix of renditions of Irish classics and songs by the likes of the Dropkick Muphys, Flogging Molly and The Pogues as well as well as their own tunes.
Earlier this week the outfit filmed a suitably pirate-themed video for the song and have posted a behind the scenes video on their Facebook page.
Black Water County, who encourage audiences to show their appreciation by stamping their feet with their motto ‘love the band, hate the floor’, already have a string of gigs under their belts including appearances at Bournemouth Sevens Festival and Swanage Carnival. You can catch them live next at Parley Beer Festival on Sunday afternoon and then at Le Bateau from 6.30pm on Sunday evening.
