There's a time and a bass for Miranda Sykes
MIRANDA Sykes, best known for her work as double bassist with folk-rock institution, Show Of Hands, joins Bournemouth Folk Club at Centre Stage, Westbourne, on Thursday.
As well as being a superb vocalist and double bassist, Miranda’s musical versatility is evident in her unquestionable ability as a guitarist and interpreter of song, slipping effortlessly between genres.
She has a strong repertoire and is currently developing material for her fifth solo album project.
She’ll be joined for the Centre Stage gig by regular collaborator, mandolin virtuoso Rex Preston.
