MORE of music’s hottest names will descend on the Isle of Wight this summer.
Not only have the Island’s two big festivals added to their line ups this morning, but a headliner for the Osborne House Summer Concerts can also be announced by Your Entertainment.
Welsh legend Tom Jones will end a two night concert series in the breath-taking grounds of the royal seaside villa overlooking the Solent on Sunday July 29 after going down a storm at Isle of Wight Festival last year.
His place in the Big Top at Isle of Wight Festival will be taken this year by Video Games singer Lana Del Rey, the American singer songwriter and recent recipient of a Brit Award.
Making a welcome return to Bestival is Bat For Lashes. The Mercury Prize and Brit Award nominated chanteuse is currently recording the follow-up to her acclaimed second album Two Suns.
Singer-songwriter Ben Howard will also be making an appearance and Alabama Shakes, who have been getting everyone from the likes of David Byrne to Adele giddy with glee, will be demonstrating just why they’re so hotly tipped.
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Pearl Jam and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are already confirmed for Isle of Wight Festival, at Seaclose Park in Newport from June 22 to 24.
New Order, Sigur Ros and The xx are already booked for Bestival, at Robin Hill Country Park from September 6 to 9, with more acts to follow.
90s pop sensations Steps also play the Osborne House Summer Concerts, on July 28.
