ACCLAIMED singer-songwriter KT Tunstall is one of the headline acts at this year’s Purbeck Folk Festival.
The Scottish Ivor Novello and Brit awards winner will close Saturday night of the three-day event at Langton Matravers near Swanage from Friday to Sunday, August 24 – 26.
Festival organiser Paul Burke said: “I think this year’s event will add even more clout to Dorset’s growing reputation on the music festivals scene.
“We think this is a really cool little festival with a fantastic family atmosphere.
“There’s something for everyone’s musical taste and the line-up includes some of the best young acts as well as internationally known artists and the best of Dorset’s music scene.”
Scottish KT Tunstall, pictured right, came to fame following an appearance on Later with Jools Holland, where she performed Grammy-winning single Black Horse and the Cherry Tree.
Her debut album, Eye to the Telescope, was a best-seller and spawned the singles Suddenly I See and On The Other Side of the World.
This is the festival’s fourth year and weekend tickets include free camping from noon on the Friday until Monday afternoon.
