CHERISHED Cockney rocker Chas Hodges will be giving it plenty of rabbit rabbit when he takes to the stage of The Tivoli Theatre, Wimborne on July 6. The pianist and singer is one half of the duo Chas & Dave who were together for 30 years.
The popular double act came to an end when Dave Peacock decided to hang up his bass guitar following the death of his wife Sue from lung cancer.
Last year Dave and Chas reunited for a tour but he’s going solo again playing favourites including Rabbit, Gertcha, Ain’t No Pleasing You, Sideboard Song, Margate, London Girls and Snooker Loopy.
Before founding Chas & Dave, 68 year-old Chas had worked with independent record producer Joe Meek. Chas then joined Albert Lee’s band Heads, Hands & Feet before playing with Dave Peacock and Albert in Black Claw. He also played piano for a band called The Rockers, which featured Roy Wood and Phil Lynott.
