ONE of the highlights of this delightful and colourful show was the spectacle 25 three and four-year olds going head over heels through the hoop after singing On The Good Ship Lollipop.
They were appearing with 175 other students aged between two and 20 of the Footlights Performance Academy in their 25th anniversary production.
This all singing, all dancing showed us what they did a quarter of a century ago, what they have to offer today and what the future holds for them.
Scenes from Mary Poppins included Jolly Holiday with Mary with accompanying penguins and an energetic Step In Time with the chimney sweeps.
Another show stopper was scenes from the Wizard of Oz and the musical Cats. Immaculate high-kicking young ladies provided a perfect Chorus Line and a large troupe tap-danced Hey, Big Spender and I’ve Got Rhythm.
The production team and choreographers were headed by Nina Thompson.
