Camp Bestival ended on a high note with headline sets from multi-platinum selling singer and producer Labrinth, DJ Fresh and eighties favourites Heaven 17.
The award-winning family festival came to a close last night with a full on stage show from Earthquake singer-songwriter, Labrinth.
Around 30,000 revellers descended on the Lulworth Castle site for the music extravaganza which ran from Thursday August 1 to Sunday August 4.
Eighties pop star, Nik Kershaw won over the Camp Bestival crowds with his hit single Wouldn’t It Be Good.
He said: “I am delighted to be playing Camp Bestival this year alongside an amazing line up of artists from across the genres.”
The distinctly eighties feel continued with a headline set from stalwarts of new wave synthpop, Heaven 17.
Organiser and DJ Rob da Bank said: “As a child of the 80s I love that era. One hit wonders sit happily alongside some of the most visionary pop and electronic records ever made in my record collection.
Rob da Bank’s wonderful brainchild offers an eclectic mix of live music, comedy, literary talks, theatre and children’s entertainment.
Dance music visionary DJ Fresh whipped the crowd into a frenzy with an electrifying set full of hit singles including Gold Dust, Louder and Hot Right Now.
Teenage rap artist, Isaiah Hamilton – aka Isaiah Dreads, from Dorchester took over the bandstand with his mega-watt smile, wordy talents and adolescent confidence lighting up the venue.
James Bateman, 45 from Poole said: “It’s great to see some local talent from Dorset performing at such a world-renowned festival.” King of beatbox, Beardyman returned to Camp Bestival for a mind boggling performance in the Big Top tent.
