THERE seems to be nothing more hilarious than a frustrated ranting Welsh comic.
And that is exactly why Rhod Gilbert’s newest tour – The Man with the Flaming Battenberg Tattoo – is one of the funniest sketches so far this year.
He packed out Bournemouth Pavilion to the rafters and left everyone holding their sides with laughter.
As usual the show was filled with the annoyances and crazed rant that litter the hilariously disturbing world of the 43-year-old comic.
The show centered on a make or break trip to New York with his girlfriend, his anger management diary and the marzipan based body art.
Taking centre stage was the diary which was full of life’s minor irritations which he used to demonstrate the comic genius of his full ranting ability.
He also made a complete mockery of the British train service with an especially comic bit about an egg and cress sandwich and a travelling chef.
The show is a definite must see, his material gets stronger and funnier each time.
