THINK you can mix a good Bloody Mary? Then pit your recipe against bartenders, chefs, publicans and restaurateurs from across the county.
The second annual Dorset’s Best Bloody Mary competition takes place at The Larder House in Southbourne on Saturday, June 25.
A panel of judges will be drinking their way through the cocktails to select four finalists.
These four will then compete for the title of Dorset’s Best Bloody Mary 2011, by making and presenting their drink directly in front of the judges. The finalists will each receive a prize, but the overall winner will walk away with a plaque for their outlet showing they hold the 2011 title.
Event organiser James Fowler, said: “Last years event went down really well. It was won by Jon Lister from the Urban Beach Hotel in Boscombe. This year we hope for an even greater turn out of competitors from across Dorset. Promotion is our key focus, allowing as many caterers as possible to find out, and have the opportunity to enter and be recognized for making a great drink. The event will also see an experimental showcase of Bloody Mary inspired drinks, and food”
The deadline to register is Monday, June 20, and for more information and entry forms, email info@dorsetsbest.com or visit www.dorsetsbest.com.
