Bournemouth’s second Cupcake Camp is happening next weekend. What? I hear you cry? Well, it’s very simple.
Bakers donate cupcakes to be sold for charity, this year the NSPCC. One baker will win the best in show prize.
There’s singers and acrobats and cheerleaders, stallholders selling gifts, jewellery and make up, cupcake decorating and crafts provided by Creation Station.
Entry is free, and Esther Rantzen will be opening the camp and judging the cakes.
Organisers Margaret Hitchman of Cake Heaven and Melanie Kiani of Simply Events are aiming for 4000 cupcakes this year – the total stands at 1864, so if you bake, and you want to support the NSPCC’s Childline, please think about donating a batch. This year you can also donate to include giant cupcakes, brownies, pastries, cookies and cake pops.
Last year, the Best in Show prize was won by Jo Tucker, with most talked about being these amazing fish and chip cupcakes by Lucy’s Sugar Shack.
If you are interested in donating to Cupcake Camp to support this worthy cause then please get in touch with Margaret on 07762 788559, by emailing her on mycakeheaven@gmail.com or via their facebook page
Doors open at 2pm. Don’t miss out. If last year’s event is anything to go by you could snap up a work of art to make your mum smile on Mother’s Day!
