YOUNG people will feature strongly in two concerts at St Clement’s Church, Boscombe, tomorrow and Saturday.
Friday’s evening concert is a choir festival featuring the New Forest Children’s Choir, the BBC Choir of the Year regional finalists directed by Alison Russell. Also appearing are New Forest Junior Choir and Bournemouth Gospel Choir in a programme that includes Parry’s Jerusalem and music by Royal Society of Church Music composer Ian McKinley, whose family lives in Bournemouth.
The Saturday morning concert is stage by the Coda Fiddle Orchestra, the community-based children’s ensemble of local violinists, performing traditional folk music, East-ern European gypsy tunes and film and TV themes.
The concerts are in aid of live music at St Clement’s Church and the Coda Fiddle Orchestra.
