La Haine
POPPING up on Thursday night is the Other cinema, a special screening of award-winning film La Haine (1995) at 7.30pm at The Winchester pub in Bournemouth.
The screening will be followed by a live set from DJ Roast Beatz. Tickets are £5 on the door.
Kerry Curtis at Arts Bournemouth says: “Our pop-up cinema events bring back a sense of community, passion and shared experience, which the multiplex lacks. Today’s audiences are looking for a more immersive experience.”
The film focuses on a day in the lives of three friends in their early 20s living in an impoverished multi-ethnic French housing project after a riot.
