WESTBOURNE’S Funnybone Comedy Club hosts a trio of top comedians this evening. First up is Suzi Ruffell who began her stand-up career at just 23 years old.
After only 18 months of performing all over the UK this bright young comic from Portsmouth has been making an impact on the comedy circuit. Suzi’s captivates audiences with her tales of social ineptitude, overbearing parents and stories of desperately trying to fit in. Next on is Imran Yusuf, pictured left, who is renowned for his super-high energy performance.
Imran is a unique voice on the comedy circuit. His work has been inspired by this rich multicultural background, giving him a youthful, energetic and highly original voice that embodies the multi-cultural wealth that exists in modern Britain. Topping the bill is gravel-voiced Canadian funnyman Mike Wilmot. Already an established comedian in his home country, Mike Wilmot started working in the UK as a stand-up comedian in 1995.
His TV work includes Live At The Apollo (BBC1), Rich Hall’s Fishing Show/Cattle Drive (BBC4), several appearances on Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC2) and part in the award-winning film It’s All Gone Pete Tong.
