Petit Mal's mix of circus tricks will impress at Lighthouse
SUBVERSIVE circus act Petit Mal returns to the Lighthouse Poole on June 12-13.
Petit Mal is a darkly humorous, visual dose of impossible circus theatre and was a big success on its first visit to Lighthouse two years ago. On a stage littered with garage debris, three characters are kicking their heels, looking for something to do.
They perform extraordinary acrobatics with wild physicality and careless daring. Break-dancing, martial arts and hip-hop moves fuse with trampoline solos and disjointed juggling with found objects.
The soundtrack is by Tuomas Norvio incorporating music by Bob Dylan, Joy Division and DJ Shadow.
