VEEVERS David John 88, of Three-Legged Cross, Dorset passed away on Tuesday, June 14th 2022, at Poole Hospital. A service of celebration will be held at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28th at Bournemouth Crematorium, with a wake to be held at the Monmouth Ash Pub after the service. David was born December 24th, 1933, in Bombay, India, to Isobel (Norris) and Archibald Veevers. He left school at the age of 14 and worked in the financial district in London until he joined the Royal Navy when he turned 18. The Royal Navy was David's passion. He was a Hydrographic Surveyor for 22 years, travelling all over the world. He retired as a Fleet Chief Petty Officer. In civilian life, David was a Hydrographic Surveyor with Racal Decca and a highways inspector for Ealing Council. He also enjoyed golfing at the local country club, and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren whenever he could. David is survived by his wife Vivienne, two sons and a daughter: Richard John Veevers and children Drew, Vicky, Ben, Hannah, and Tim; Graham Mark Veevers and his wife Leslie Suzanne Veevers and children Michelle, Caroline, Kayla, and Adriana. Alison Jane Kariminia (Veevers) and husband Amin Kariminia and children Joseph and Jasmine. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isobel (Norris) and Archibald Veevers.
