A JURY is due to be sworn in this morning for the inquest into the death of teenage schoolboy Kyle Rees.
Kyle, 16, died in February after being accidentally struck on the head by a cricket ball at Portchester School in Bournemouth.
The popular schoolboy’s death shocked the local community and masses of flowers were left at the school, now called Harewood College, in Harewood Avenue.
Kyle lived with his family in Nortoft Road, Charminster.
Since his death his friends at Harewood and Avonbourne Colleges have launched a business venture to raise funds in his memory.
All money raised from selling the special wristbands will be donated to the Southampton General Hospital’s paediatric intensive care unit, which is where Kyle was treated after the accident.
The inquest is being held at Bournemouth Town Hall and could last as long as three days.
We will be covering the inquest live from 10am this morning.
