ONE of ITV's Dancing on Ice stars will unveil Bournemouth's first-ever outdoor ice rink on Tuesday.

Introduced and commissioned by the Bournemouth Town Centre BID company and operated by BH Live, the ice rink will be set under the trees in the town's Lower Gardens.

Pprofessional Dancing on Ice skater, Michael Zenezini, will be at the rink at 4pm with professional female skater Katalin Szakal, aka Lina, and take to the ice at 4.15pm for the official opening.

Following the routine, Brianne and Michael will be on-hand to meet the crowds and sign autographs.

The ice rink will be open until January 6 and will be big enough for 100 skaters.

Tony Brown, chairman of the Town Centre BID Board, said: “Not only is this a first for the town but it is the BID's first step to reinvigorate and create an extra buzz in the town centre. We're sure the rink will be a real hit - whether you are a whiz on ice, taking to it for the first time or quite simply a spectator, the Bournemouth outdoor ice rink is not to be missed.”

Tickets will be £8.50 for adults and £7.50 for children aged four to 16.
