After last month’s focus on the UK Youth Parliament House of Commons Debate, December has been a time of getting back to working on my priorities.
Here are some of the things I’ve been doing during the month:
I attended the Borough of Poole’s Children & Young People’s Overview & Scrutiny Committee, where I was consulted on local youth issues. I also fed back to the meeting my House of Commons experience.
I did some further work on my Live Unltd-funded ‘WaterZone’ project, developing a strategy for selecting and working with my preferred training provider partner.
I started to prepare a review of my year as an MYP which I will be presenting to Poole Council in January.
I was pleased to find out that I had been a recipient of one of the British Youth Council’s Youth Voice Awards for the youth representation work I have been doing. I was also very happy to receive a Certificate of Achievement for contributing to the work of Poole’s Children and Young People’s Shadow Board.
December is also a time for fun, and I enjoyed myself attending Poole Youth Forum’s Christmas party!
