THIEVES made off with £160 worth of alcohol and razor blades after a smash and grab style burglary at a Tesco Express store in the New Forest.
Three thieves wearing scarves across their faces broke windows at the front of the store in Brookley, Brockenhurst at around 3am on Friday, January 25.
They tried to steal cigarettes form a locked cabinet within the store but failed so instead stole a quantity of alcohol before making off in a Ford Fiesta.
Officers believe the Ford Fiesta used may have been the same one that was stolen on Thursday evening while parked on Kings Road New Milton. The dark blue, L reg Fiesta has since been recovered abandoned in Setthorns Road, Sway.
The three thieves involved are described as all being male and wearing clothing with their hoods up. One had a grey hooded top with a white top underneath and dark tracksuit bottoms with a red stripe.
Another had a black jacket and a blue hooded top under it. He was also wearing combat trousers. The third person was wearing a dark anorak and dark trousers.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who saw the incident or anyone suspicious in the area around the time of the incident. They’d also like to hear from anyone who may have seen any unusual activity involving a Ford Fiesta around the area on the night.
Those with information are asked to call PC Stephanie Rudland at Lymington Police Station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
