A NINETEEN-year-old had her pockets searched and her engagement ring stolen after a man pushed her against a wall.

The attack happened on Bournemouth’s Bath Road, near the petrol station, between 3.30am-4am on Saturday, January 26.

The attacker made off with the woman’s engagement ring and some cash which were both in her pockets. Detective Constable James Batty, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said: “Understandably, the victim was distressed by the incident and very upset about the loss of the ring.

“The ring consists of 18 carat white gold with a larger diamond flanked by three smaller diamonds on either side of it.

“I urge witnesses and anyone who has any information about the robbery to contact police as soon as possible.

”I would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered a ring of this description in unusual circumstances or at an unusually low price.”

The offender was 20-30, around 5ft 6ins tall, of average build with broad shoulders. He had dark hair and was wearing dark trousers and a dark hooded top.
