PARENT Philip Vince has one child in Year 6 and another who has moved on to secondary school. He said: “This school has been transformed – the whole ethos has changed. The school has been lifted up and is doing very well. Leaders here listen to the parents.”

YEAR 3 leader Lauren Dean said: “It is amazing how much the school has changed. Expectations of the children are higher and the morale of the staff is better. It is a brilliant place to work and there is a huge amount of support from the leadership.”

MIKE White has one child in Year 4 and another starting at the school in September. He said: “I was apprehensive beca-use it did not appear to be a well-disciplined school before the change of leadership. I have been very impressed with the changes.”

YEAR 5 pupil Timothy Barker said: “I really like maths and I have been ordering fractions. “The teachers are really kind and supportive and I have got a lot of friends here. “I’m glad I go to this school we really learn a lot.”

HOLLIE Winters, 10, is in Year 5. She said: “I like maths, PE and literacy. We made Tudor houses over the Christmas holidays and it was really fun. I have been in a gymnastics comp-etition and we are doing some more clubs now we are an academy.”

PE co-ordinator Jane Wilson is a Year 3 teacher. She said: “I really enjoy teaching here. “We are encouraged and there is a lot of help from the leadership team. The children know what to expect and behave well. I am free to teach.”

KIMBERLEY Tucker is head of Year 5. She said: “We try to make sure all the children are making good progress and teachers are also being developed – it is a learning experience for all of us. “Behaviour here has been massively improved.”
