THE future of two Bournemouth bars that recently closed without warning appears increasingly uncertain.
Bliss and Chilli White in St Peter’s Road are operated by Yellowhammer Bars but have been “temporarily closed” for over a week.
There has been no statement from Yellowhammer and no indication as to when or if the venues will reopen.
Now it is being reported that a subsidiary of Yellowhammer is on the verge of entering administration and that administrators from RSM Tenon are being lined up to oversee this process.
A notice to appoint administrators for Yellowhammer Trading Ltd was filed on January 16.
It stated: “The chairman reported that, in view of ongoing financial difficulties, the company has consulted with RSM Tenon to take advice in connection with the financial position of the company and the options available.
“The company is insolvent as defined in the Insolvency Act 1986.”
It is believed Yellowhammer Trading Ltd is a trading entity for the group. Nobody from Yellowhammer bars was available for comment.
