INVESTIGATIONS into what caused hundreds of seabirds to wash up on the Dorset coast have returned no results.
The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA), who led the search into finding the source of the pollution, said their technology has not detected anything.
Fred Caygill, of the MCA, said: "We have not received any specific reports of pollution within the English Channel area.
"We have utilised satellite technology and sent one of our counter pollution and surveillance aircraft to patrol the sea areas between Dover and the Isles of Scilly, and no pollution has been detected."
The Dorset Wildlife Trust has said the mineral oil substance has caused burns to the legs of affected birds.
