RESIDENTS in Cavendish Road and Dean Park Road in Bournemouth are counting the cost after several vehicles were vandalised over the weekend.
The doors of a number of parked cars were damaged and one vehicle had its windscreen smashed. A Dorset police spokeswoman said: “The damage happened overnight on Saturday; dents and scratches were caused to at least seven vehicles.”
One local resident claimed thousands of pounds worth of damage had been caused, adding that it wasn’t the first time that cars in the area had been vandalised. Calling for CCTV cameras to be installed in the area, she added: “Every weekend damage is done; this time it wasn’t just wing mirrors.”
Witnesses and anyone with information should phone 101, quoting incident number 03:205.
