POOLE’S very own boat show has got the wind in its sails and will be storming back this year for the third time in succession.
The successful Sandbanks Boat Show will sail into the waters of Poole Harbour for a weekend this spring.
Saltern’s Brokerage has announced that it will be held over two days, on Saturday May 11 and Sunday 12 from 10am to 5pm.
The show is now an established and important date in the boating calendar. Held at Salterns Marina at Lilliput, with its Five Gold Anchor status, the venue will display more than 80 quality new boats and marine products.
“This ‘boutique’ style boat show has been truly welcomed by the marine industry; main dealers, manufacturers, associated companies, the boating press and visitors alike,” said Russell Hayden of Salterns.
“When we organised the show back in 2011, we didn’t realise just how successful this event would become.
“It’s just what the visitors and traders were looking for as an alternative to the larger shows like Southampton and London.
“We have progressed and improved each year and look to bring an even better show for 2013,” he said.
Having set the date at the start of the boating season, they hope to attract visitors of all ages and help them kick off the season in their search for new craft ranging from dinghies and personal watercraft to luxury motor cruisers.
Exhibitors will be offering expert advice at the show where admission is free of charge.
