WATCHKEEPERS at Swanage’s St Alban’s Head have welcomed round-Britain walker Christian Nock for a well earned cuppa.
Christian, aged 38, passed the National Coastwatch Institution lookout on day 188 of his gruelling 6,500 mile, two year hike.
The former soldier is hoping to become the first person to walk the entire British coast without using ferries.
Christian said the walk will “either kill me, or make me.”
He’s sold all his possessions and is sleeping rough every night, after walking up to a marathon 26-mile distance daily.
NCI spokesman John Newth said: “The watchkeepers at the NCI lookout on St Albans Head recently welcomed Christian for some much-needed refreshment.
“He has covered 2,000 miles so far, having started out in Blackpool, and is on his eight pair of boots.”
Christian has raised £8,000 for the Help for Heroes charity. To donate visit bmycharity.com/ ChristianNock.
