MOTORISTS faced delays on the Wessex Way following a collision this morning.
Two cars - a silver Suzuki Wagon R and a white Citroen Relay van - appeared to be involved in the incident on the northbound carriageway between the Springbourne exit and the Cooper Dean flyover.
One was seen facing the wrong way on the central reservation.
Queues were backed up to the Springbourne junction on the northbound carriageway, while rubberneckers caused slow-moving traffic on the southbound carriageway.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said the road was blocked for about 25minutes.
No-one was seriously injured in the collision although an ambulance was called as a precaution for one person with very minor injuries.
The road was clear by 9.28am.
