A ROBBER made off with a large sum of money after threatening a member of staff in a Boscombe store.
The man is reported to have entered the Cheque Centre in Christchurch Road at around 5.25pm on Monday and demanded money, although no weapon was seen.
Police said yesterday that two 25-year-old men and a 24-year-old man, all from Bournemouth, had been arrested on suspicion of robbery and released on bail.
Investigating detectives have released CCTV images of a fourth man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident.
Staff in neighbouring shops and businesses were not aware that an incident had taken place when the Daily Echo made enquiries.
Detective Constable Sara Butler, of Bournemouth CID, said: “Following enquiries, I am now able to release two CCTV images of a man who may be able to help us with our investigation.
“I would urge the man pictured – and anyone who recognises him – to contact Dorset Police, in confidence, as soon as possible.”
Contact Dorset Police on 101 quoting incident number 18:335, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
The incident is just the latest in a series of shop robberies over the past few months.
On October 24, a man threatened staff in NatWest in Southbourne Grove, South-bourne, although no money was taken, and on December 6 a masked man threatened staff in Barclay’s Bank in Bryant Road, off Wallisdown Road, which led to three arrests.
Later that month a woman threatened a female member of staff with a gun at Coral bookmakers in Castle Lane West.
