AFC Bournemouth defender Stephen Purches joined pupils from St Michael’s school in Bournemouth to help clean up their neighbourhood.
Club mascot Cherry Bear also joined in the fun as they collected four bags of recycling and two bags of waste from an area around West Hill Road car park.
The litter-pick was the latest in a series of events organised as part of the Green Goals project, now in its fourth season.
The project is a partnership between AFC Bournemouth and Bournemouth council’s Street Services.
