FOR over 20 years, revellers in Bournemouth have been donning outrageous fancy dress outfits in the name of a good party. The legacy continues tonight as Jazz Juice celebrates Easter Sunday with the ever-popular party at Aruba.
With more wigs than Burt Reynolds and more polyester than the Jackson Five, Jazz Juice remains an essential night for 70s funk fetishists and eccentric exhibitionists.
It deservedly maintains its status as Bournemouth’s longest running club night. It was all started in the acid jazz days of 1992 by Rob Hastings, who had already been involved in the Highcliffe Castle party of 1990 and the Essential Summer Ball at the BIC featuring Diane Brown and Judge Jules.
It quickly became a cult night with Bournemouth University students snapping up all the tickets a week before each sell out event.
Jazz Juice continues to shake its funky mix of hedonism and music into the future with this classic Bank Holiday Sunday party. Check out jazzjuice.com for more information.
