DORSET’S Police and Crime Commissioner has unveiled his six-point plan to keep Dorset safe over the next five years.
Martyn Underhill stressed he wants to see a more visible force operating in the heart of the community and said he wants people to feel safe both at home and in the community.
The six priorities are reducing the number of victims of crime, reducing the number of people seriously harmed, protecting the public from serious threats, reducing re-offending, increase people’s satisfaction in policing and supporting neighbourhood policing.
He worked closely with Chief Constable Debbie Simpson, who said: “Our committed team of officers, police staff, volunteers and special constables will continue to work together with our partners and communities to make Dorset safer and this plan will help to shape how we continue to deliver our policing service in Dorset.”
