STARS of the play Hormonal Housewives were treated to a special pampering session courtesy of students from Poole and Bournemouth College.
Toyah Willcox joined co-stars Julie Coombe and Sarah Buckley at Poole Lighthouse to relax before the show with the full Girls Night Out package comprising of beauty treatments, cupcakes and cocktails.
The students are training for the beauty therapy diploma and offered theatre-goers a free nail treatment, hand massage and Indian head massage.
Kat Miller, team leader for level three beauty therapy and BTEC, said: “It was a chance to showcase the students’ skills and let them know about us and where we are.”
The college opened its new Flaunt Beauty salon at the end of January at the college in the Lansdowne. It offers a wide range of treatments from manicures to spray tans and non-surgical facelifts.
Kat added: “The students love it and they like to show what they can do. They need clients to come in for their assessments.”
The Hormonal Housewives comedy arrived at the Lighthouse for one night on Thursday following a hugely successful tour last year.
It features sketches looking at everything that makes today’s women tick – from the joys of teenagers to the insanity of DIY.
