BROADCHURCH fans desperate for clues as to who killed Danny Latimer are set to make the show's soundtrack a surprise hit.

The ITV drama which stars West Bay and the Jurassic Coast has been a runaway success attracting more than nine million viewers each week.

Now as the tension becomes unbearable in the run-up to the final episode, the word has gone out that clues to the killer are hidden in the music.

And the haunting soundtrack by composer Olafur Arnalds, which was released yesterday to coincide with last night's penultimate episode, is set to be snapped up by armchair detectives.

One of the main themes is called So Close and is likely to increase speculation that the killer or killers of the boy found dead on the beach in the fictional seaside Dorset town is going to be a huge surprise when it is finally revealed on Monday April 22.

Speculation has intensified that the show will have a shocking ending as the final programme is currently set to run for an extra five minutes until 10.05pm, according to the Radio Times.

All that has been released about the episode is that the Broadchurch community will struggle to come to terms with the news as the events surrounding Danny Latimer's death are revealed after weeks of speculation, and circumstances threaten to prevent the dead boy from being allowed to rest in peace.

Ólafur Arnalds is an Icelandic instrumentalist and composer and the vocalist is Arnor Dan, front man with band Agent Fresco.
