INQUESTS into the death of two people, including a Poole head teacher, killed in separate collisions last weekend, have been opened.
East Dorset Coroner’s Court in Stafford Road, Bournemouth was told Robert Taylor, 66, of Sway Gardens, Bournemouth, died after his Ford Focus left the road and collided with a tree on the A35 near Morden Park Corner around 7.45am on Sunday morning.
His cause of death was given as multiple injuries due to blunt trauma.
Ally Mullany, 50, head at St Joseph’s Catholic Combined School in Parkstone, died in a second collision with a fire engine on the B3075, which was travelling to the fatality on the A35.
The hearing was told she died of head injuries.
Two of her four children Kieran, 14, and Niamh, 11, who were also travelling in the red Mini, were airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
The inquests have been adjourned until a later date.
