A MAN was arrested on Tuesday in connection with an alleged hit-and-run which left a female cyclist seriously injured.
The 39-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested on suspicion of driving offences and released on police bail until early July, pending further enquiries. Also, a damaged vehicle was seized by police in Bournemouth on Sunday.
The 36-year-old cyclist, who is in a serious but stable condition in the neurological unit at Southampton General Hospital, was knocked off her bike at around 7.45am on Saturday (April 27), on the Cooper Dean flyover.
Police claim the driver then drove off. They are appealing for witnesses to get in touch with information.
