A CAMPAIGN to encourage people to pick-up after their dogs will begin in Christchurch and East Dorset on Monday.
The move has been sparked by areas where the amount of dog fouling is still “unacceptably high”, according to the Christchurch and East Dorset Partnership.
Officers hope that by handing out literature and free dog poop bags and talking to dog walkers the message will get home to people who don’t follow the rule to ‘bag it and bin it’.
Officers will be at Purewell Meadows, Stanpit Recreation Ground and Steamer Point nature reserve in Christchurch as well as Springdale View Point, Corfe Mullen, Redcotts Recreation Ground, Wimborne, Bytheway Field, Colehill, Potterne Park, Verwood and Corfe Mullen Recreation Ground in East Dorset.
