FERNDOWN will turn purple next week ahead of the town’s Relay for Life in June.
Residents are being urged to visit the 50 shops, cafes and restaurants which have purple window displays in support of Cancer Research UK.
Ferndown coffee shop Stone Lounge is even donating 50p from every coffee sold between Monday and Friday to the charity.
Chairman of the Relay for Life Tina Raymond said: “It’s about being part of a community united in the belief that together we are stronger than cancer and we can make a stand against the disease.
“It is a unique event with a celebratory atmosphere and everyone who joins in will take away something special.”
The relay is a 24-hour event held at the town’s leisure centre on June 29.
Teams will take it in turns to walk around the track to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
