POLICE are appealing for information after two cars were broken into in the Queens Park area of Bournemouth.
The incidents took place between 5pm on Friday May 10 and 9am on Saturday May 11 along Cecil Avenue.
Entry was gained to BMW X5 and a Ford Focus, which were parked in the driveways of two properties, but nothing was taken.
Officers are urging motorists to make sure their cars are locked following a spate of theft from vehicles in recent weeks.
PC Michaela Jephcott, of Bournemouth police, said: “There have been a number of thefts from motor vehicles in the Charminster and Queens Park area of Bournemouth recently.
“I would ask the local community to make sure their vehicles are locked and secured at all times, and that all valuables are removed when they are not in use.”
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 11:130, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
