KEEN fisherman Robin Guy was treated to a spectacular show in the water thanks to a friendly pod of dolphins.
He spotted the group of 8-10 around 500 feet from the shore at Old Harry Rocks on Thursday afternoon and followed them for around 20 minutes before they headed off into Swanage bay.
Robin managed to grab a few minutes of them on video and is keen to share the footage.
The 47-year-old property developer from Ferndown said: “I was just on a fishing trip and was just past Old Harry Rocks when I heard quite a commotion. I have had a boat in the area for about six years and I have never seen them in the waters before.
“They were leaping out of the water and diving down so could possibly have been feeding. There were a number of birds flying above as well.
“They were incredibly inquisitive as they always area. I followed them for about 20 minutes before they went off into Swanage bay.
“You can see on the video there are a couple of babies and they come right up to the boat. The mother then steers them away so they don’t go near the prop.”
Robin added: “The water is so clear it looks more like the Caribbean than England. It’s brilliant advertising for the area!”
