A MAN was treated for minor burns after rubbish left on a cooker caught light in the kitchen of a Shaftesbury flat on Sunday evening.
Firefighters were called at 7pm and extinguished the fire by removing the rubbish.
A man was treated by an ambulance crew for minor burns, a fire service spokesman said.
The flat suffered slight damage. The spokesman reminded people never to leave items on cookers.
