VICTIMS of anti-social behaviour in the New Forest are being told: “Do not be afraid to report it.”
New Forest Victim Support case worker Bernadette Hanly said: “You don’t have to put up with anti-social behaviour (ASB) in your neighbourhood, whether it is children kicking a football against your car every night, loud music from a neighbour or an intimidating group of youths shouting abuse.
“Often, victims of ASB feel over-burdened and afraid of repercussions if they report others to the police, their landlord or council.
“But you don’t have to suffer in silence.
“There’s no quick fix in most cases, you have to work with the appropriate agencies.”
If you are suffering from anti-social behaviour you can call the police on 101 and should then notify your landlord or the council’s environmental health officers.
