BRAVE Debbie Eaton has today spoken to the Daily Echo about the illness that could strike her down at any time.
She suffers from little-known Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and had a life expectancy of just 32.
The condition, which killed her son Ryan when he was a teenager, means sudden internal bleeding could come on at any time and kill her.
But Debbie has beaten the odds to live to 46 and is determined to “laugh, but with wobbly knees”, as she puts it, and help to find out more about the illness through fundraising for research.
People like her are an inspiration to all.
