An American football team from Bournemouth University plan to lift the weight of a coach for charity.
The lift, which is planned for Wednesday May 29, will be undertaken by 20 to 30 members of the Bournemouth University Bobcats.
The team will be lifting a total of 15 tons for Cancer Research UK and have raised £40 to date.
Head Coach Charlie Anderson said the ambitious lift is being done to help the community and sufferers of the disease.
“We thought we’d give back to something that affects a lot of people. Every person on the team has had a contact with people who’ve had it and we wanted to get behind it because we believe in it.”
The lift, which was organised by society president Joshua Edwards, will take place at 9am in the Strength and Conditioning Suite at the university.
