BUDDING photographers are being urged to capture a moment in time on the South West Coast Path – on their mobile phones.
The South West Coast Path team has launched its Motographer of the Year 2013 competition, which is this year being judged by award-winning travel and landscape photo-grapher David Noton, who runs photography workshops on the Jurassic Coast, and award leader of BA Photography at Falmouth University Deborah Baker.
Mobile phone photographers of all ages are being urged to enter the competition, with the only rules being that photos must be taken on a mobile phone and must include a person on any stretch of the 630-mile South West Coast Path.
David Noton said: “The joy of being on the South West Coast Path can be enhanced with photography.
“The very process of trying to capture the experience to share with friends and family makes us look at what’s all around us on the cliff tops, headlands and in the coves with an analytical eye, noticing details and tricks of the light that maybe we wouldn’t without the stimulus of photo-graphy.”
Entries must be submitted via the South West Coast Path Facebook page or Twitter @sw coastpath using the hashtag #MOTY2013 by September 30.
