A CHARITY football tournament will take place on Sunday in aid of the Amelia Grace Rainbow Fund.
The seven-a-side tournament at the Littledown Centre will raise funds for the charity, set-up in memory of Amelia-Grace Cooper, the Bournemouth schoolgirl who died in 2010 after battling aggressive childhood cancer.
The charity was set-up by Amelia’s parents, Chantel and Karl, and provides financial assistance to Dorset-based children and their families who are suffering from serious, chronic, life-limited and terminal illness.
Chantel Cooper said: “The Amelia-Grace Rainbow Fund is delighted that employees at Ageas’s Bournemouth office are taking part in the football tournament for our charity.
“We are very excited to be working with employees at the company in supporting our cause, especially as we’re a local charity and we hope to bring them even more fantastic fundraising events over the coming year.”
Peter Corfield, managing director at the company said: “Fundraising and helping others has always been at the heart of our business, so it’s really great that our employees are so enthusiastically taking part and organising this charity event to raise funds for The Amelia-Grace Rainbow Fund.”
