The scene of the accident at the St Paul's roundabout
POLICE closed a section of Bournemouth's A338 Wessex Way after a road accident on a major roundabout.
The accident happened at the St Paul's roundabout at around 8pm on Sunday.
It left traffic gridlocked on the Wessex Way until police closed the road eastbound between Richmond Hill and St Paul's and re-directed traffic.
The vehicles involved were a blue BMW and a silver Honda, both registered locally.
The road was re-opened at 9.45pm.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were at the scene.
